Rick Ross Coming To Nigeria This August

Come Friday, 17th of August, 2012, MMG boss, William Leonard Roberts II a.k.a Rick Ross, will storm the commercial nerve centre of Nigeria, Lagos for the upcoming Summer Jam Fest 2012 concert at the exquisite Eko Hotel and Suites.
The Florida native who made headlines with his debut album in 2006 titled ''Port of Miami'' will headline the music concert alongside one of the biggest groups in Nigeria, P Square and others.
The music concert is powered by St. Eve Concepts Limited, the owner of popular magazine, St. Eve.
Summer Jam Fest 2012 is geared to set the tone for an annual concert to promote health and proper lifestyle.
This year, some of the hottest Nigerian artistes of the year will be performing alongside the aforementioned big names.
St Eve Concepts aims to promote healthy living through music and entertainment.

NAETO C & NICOLE TO WED JULY 21

Reports streaming in have it that Nigerian rapper Naeto Chikwe and fiancée Nicole are set to walk down the aisle (Church Wedding) on July 21, 2012.
The couple had their 'introduction' in October 2011 and traditional engagement in April 2012.
They will now go on to seal their marriage with a white wedding.
Meanwhile the Storm Records artiste recently released a remix to his monster track, 'Tony Montana' and this one features Nigerian number one export, D'banj.

Wizkid Wins BET’s Best African Act

Ayo 'Wizkid' Balogun has won the award for 'Best International Act: Africa' at the 2012 edition of the BET Awards.
The Nigerian pop act jointly won the award with Ghanian rapper Sarkodie at the awards ceremony which was held at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California on July 1, 2012.
The EME act and Sarkodie had fierce competition from other nominees – Nigerian rapper Ice Prince, Kenyan Hip-Hop/R&B group Camp Mulla, South African singer Lira and French speaking Malian rapper Mokobe for the coveted Best African Act prize.
This is not the first time the Best African Act award will be jointly won. Last year, African pop giants D'banj and 2face came out tops and received a joint award prize in the same category.
It might also interest you to know that Wizkid is in the studios with American rappers, Young Jeezy and The Game.
